About Kiernan
I would like to introduce myself. I am Kiernan Bazinet from Eastern Ontario. I first became serious about seeing the world through the eye of a lens at age 17, selling my first print from an art gallery, that year.
At 19, I upgraded to a Canon 5D Mark II camera. From nature and animal pictures I have branched out to weddings, shooting two during the 2020 pandemic.
Always enjoying music of all genres, I attended my first concerts as a pre-schooler. Both my 5th and 8th birthdays were celebrated at a Johnny Reid concert. As a young teen I played sax in a local band.
In 2018 at the Tweed Stampede I was able to meet some fine artists. Then, that fall, I enjoyed attending the Canadian Country Music Association Week in Hamilton. There I reconnected with artists I knew and met others in the Canadian country music industry. I also took note of the photographers hired to cover the Week.
I like capturing the action of artists on stage and was able, during the pandemic, to cover the Countryfest Productions drive-in concert in Barrie and was one of two local photographers to shoot one of Brett Kissel’s Richmond Ontario shows on his “Tough Times Don’t Last. Tough People Do” tour.
As pandemic restrictions lighten, I, like everyone, look forward to attending more weddings and concerts.
